An Outpouring of Subtleties upon the Pearl of Oneness is an extensive English study of one of the most celebrated classical poems of Sunni theology: Jawharat al-Tawḥīd by Imam Ibrahim al-Laqani.

Rather than presenting the poem as a translation alone, Allie Khalfe opens up the rich theological tradition surrounding the Jawhara, drawing upon some of its most important classical commentaries and presenting their discussions in clear contemporary English.

This first volume is devoted to Divinity (ilāhiyyāt): the theological questions relating to Allah, His existence and His attributes, and what is necessary, possible and impossible with respect to Him.

Jawharat al-Tawhid in English

At the heart of the work is the Arabic text and English translation of Jawharat al-Tawḥīd, the famous didactic poem on creed composed by Imam Ibrahim al-Laqani.
